Vintage Brocade Clutch Purse A  Lin Bren Creation
Up for auction is a vintage, brocade, ladies evening bag or clutch purse.  Both sides of the purse have brocade fabric with gold, metallic thread and red and blue highlights, all of which are set against a black background.  There is a cloth carrying strap on the back, through which two or three fingers can easily fit, made of the same fabric.  The purse has a gold tone metal toggle clasp for a fastener.  The clutch purse measures just over 6.75 inches across (at its widest point), and approximately 4.5 inches high.  Included with the clutch purse is its original matching compact, complete with mirror and powder puff.  The compact measures just over 3.25 inches across, in diameter.  In addition, there is a small, clear plastic comb with a gold tone metal bridge, that fits inside of a sleeve on the inside wall of the clutch purse.  There is an additional sleeve, with a second compartment that would have been used to hold a tube of lipstick (although the lipstick is not included).  A signature on the inside of both the clutch purse and powder puff identifies them as "A Lin Bren Creation".
The vintage clutch purse and all of its accessories are in great vintage condition, with minimal soiling and wear.  However, there is a small amount of fraying of the fabric, at the top, right, out-side corner of the purse.  In addition, while I do not believe that the powder puff has been used, there is what appears to be a red lipstick stain on the top of the puff.
